Frederick County BOCC
I’m one of five county commissioners in Frederick County, Maryland. With our commissioner form of government (one of a few options in this state), the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) serves as both the Executive and Legislative branches of government (unlike Montgomery County, next door, for instance, which has a county executive and a nine person board of supervisors).
All five of us were elected or re-elected in November, 2006, and are serving a four year term, until the next election in November, 2010. Two of us are serving in our first term.
This page is intended to be my blog portal for BOCC-related matters.
